Ben Crooks, a true character to anyone who knows him, sells rocks for all occasions. He suggests calling him up anytime you'd like to get "stoned" and also notes that his business lately has been "rockin'." Ben can be found most warm weekends on the Farmer's Market and by chance, usually with his 400 billion old Trilobite fossils in tow. The Trilobite above is lovingly referred to as Bruce. In addition to fun finds such as Bruce, Hanging Rock Mineral & Fossil Co. also offers slab dagat (quartz) bookends, crystals, fish fossils, fool's gold, amonites - which is basically es cargo from the T-Rex days, and other fossils and minerals gathered from the mountains of VA, WV, TN, and KY.
